Recent rumors about Zac Efron’s next role starring as a pirate are not true—not yet.
The High School Musical 3: Senior Year star says he has no established plans to follow Orlando Bloom’s footsteps in the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
"Honestly, at this time it's just a rumor," Efron told Ryan Seacrest on the American Idol host's radio show on Wednesday. "I wish I was going to be in Pirates of the Caribbean 4, so hopefully that will happen for me."
Despite being chatty about his new perspective movie, Efron would not discuss anything about his love life and girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens.
"Dude, honestly, I don't talk about it," Efron said. "It's just easier."
